Over the past 2 decades, deaths due to suicide have been consistently increasing.  In this activity, an expert reviews unmet needs related to the treatment of depression, evidence supporting the use of atypical antipsychotics as adjunctive therapy, and the role of atypical antipsychotics for the treatment of major depression.

  • Identify the unmet needs in major depression as they relate to current treatment strategies

  • Assess evidence supporting the use of atypical antipsychotics as augmentation therapy in major depression

  • Construct evidence-based patient treatment plans based upon patient and disease state-specific characteristics
