In this podcast, Keith C. Ferdinand MD, FACC, FAHA, interviews David S. Kountz, MD, about a patient in whom social determinants of health (SDOH) affected the management of her nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF). Listen as Dr. Kountz and Dr. Ferdinand provide specific strategies that can be implemented on patient, provider, and health-system levels to address these SDOH to improve patient outcomes in NVAF.
