A Balancing Act: Strategies for Safe and Effective T2D Management in Older Adults

PCE On Demand Live Presentation

Individualization of glycemic targets and choice of medication is key when caring for older adults with type 2 diabetes (T2D). When choosing pharmacologic therapy for these patients, patient-specific factors should be considered such as A1C, duration of diabetes, weight, age, comorbidities, hypoglycemia risk, cost of medication, complexity of regimen, and patient preference. In this 1-hour webcast, 2 experts in diabetes management review guideline recommendations for individualizing care for older adults with T2D, as well as discuss the role of fixed ratio combinations (FRCs) to improve adherence.
