Target Audience

NPs and PAs who care for patients with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge and competence of NPs and PAs so they can confidently and competently apply the recent improvements in SMA management to optimize patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify strategies to better coordinate care of patients with SMA within multidisciplinary teams

This activity is designated for 0.25 AAPA Category 1 CME credit. Approval is valid until April 17, 2024. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
