Ocular pruritus is a common condition seen in the primary care setting. In this activity, 3 interactive illustrative cases will provide detailed guidance regarding differentiation and identification of the different types/causes of ocular pruritus, as well as describe optimal treatment plans for patients in the primary care setting and when to refer to an eye care specialist.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Differentiate among the major types of ocular pruritus

  • Incorporate best practices for screening and diagnosing patients with ocular pruritus

  • Employ optimal and individualized treatment plans for patients with ocular pruritus to promote ocular surface health
