NPs and PAs in pulmonary practice are vital members of the multidisciplinary team recognizing and managing patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). In this 1-hour webcast, national IPF experts discuss the process of establishing a diagnosis of IPF, delve into pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions for IPF and common comorbidities, and explore effective communication strategies for patient collaboration in management of IPF to promote optimal outcomes.

  • Identify the signs and symptoms of IPF to make an accurate diagnosis and referral earlier in the course of disease

  • Devise a treatment plan that incorporates current treatment guidelines and therapies as well as management of comorbidities and risk factors

  • Apply effective communication and shared decision-making skills during patient visits
