Stay up to date with the most recent updates to pneumococcal vaccination recommendations. Pneumococcal disease is a common vaccine preventable disease with higher rates among the older population and those with chronic medical or immunocompromising conditions. In these 2 15-minute podcasts, an advanced practice provider and expert faculty discuss the importance of pneumococcal vaccination, provide the Advisory Council on Immunization Practices (ACIP) updated recommendations including the appropriate use of new conjugate vaccines, and share strategies to help improve vaccination uptake among eligible individuals. Listeners can earn a total of 0.50 credit hours, including pharmacology credit for NPs.
