Optimizing Care and Reducing Disparities for Children and Adults With Moderate to Severe Atopic Dermatitis

CCO, in partnership with Practicing Clinicians Exchange (PCE), is launching a local live meeting series of five 60-minute, community-based local live meetings to bring together dermatology physicians and advanced practice providers in an engaging, interactive format. Regional experts will present the most up to date management strategies, discuss patient cases from their own practices, and engage attendees to provide their perspectives on managing common clinical challenges in atopic dermatitis care within inner city communities.

Nurse Practitioners: 1.00 Nursing contact hour, includes 1.00 hour of pharmacotherapy credit.

Physician Assistants/Physician Associates: 1.00 AAPA Category 1 CME credit

Goal Statement
The goal of this continuing education activity is to enhance knowledge and competence among dermatologists and dermatology advanced practice providers regarding optimizing care and reducing healthcare disparities for patients with atopic dermatitis in inner city communities.

Target Audience
This program is intended for dermatology physicians and advanced practice providers who care for patients with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis within inner city communities.

Learning Objectives:
After completing this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Identify potential healthcare disparities impacting patients in inner city communities with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis
  • Incorporate strategies that are aimed at providing optimal management of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis to patients impacted by healthcare disparities in inner city communities
