Goal Statement
The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge and competence of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with Cardiovascular Disease (CVD).

Target Audience
This educational activity is intended for NPs and PAs who diagnose and care for patients with cardiovascular disease. 

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review the latest real-world evidence and clinical guidelines to initiate and optimize GDMT for patients with HF

  • Interpret current clinical evidence validating the safety and efficacy of SGLT2 inhibition as pivotal treatments

  • Formulate management and treatment plans that incorporate SGLT2 inhibitors as a crucial element of guideline-based medical treatment for various patients suffering from HF

  • Develop strategies for shared decision-making in support of optimal treatment based on patient-specific factors and preferences

  • Compare and contrast LDL-C–lowering treatments to select the most appropriate agent for patients with hyperlipidemia

  • Identify emerging treatment targets and strategies for patients with or at risk for ASCVD

  • Implement evidence-based guideline recommendations for establishing and achieving LDL-C targets by appropriately initiating and intensifying therapy based on individualized patient goals
