Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge, skills, competence, and performance of learners to promote better practices in preserving brain health, preventing cognitive decline, and optimizing treatment for patients with Vaccines.

Target Audience
This program is intended for physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates treating patients in the primary care setting.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Analyze the benefits of optimizing brain health to prevent cognitive decline before it occurs

  • Apply best practices for discussing brain health and cognitive decline with patients during routine care

  • Assess modifiable risk factors for cognitive decline and dementia at patient visits

  • Integrate the latest developments in pneumococcal vaccines into clinical practice patterns for expanded adult candidate populations

  • Individualize pneumococcal vaccine recommendations for adult candidates based on risk categories and vaccine histories

  • Apply evidence-based strategies to improve pneumococcal vaccine uptake among hesitant patients
