The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge, competence, and skills of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with obesity.

Target Audience
This activity is intended for primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates who care for patients with obesity.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Implement recommended assessments that frame obesity as a chronic disease requiring timely treatment

  • Develop individualized treatment and monitoring plans through shared decision-making for patients with obesity based on the latest evidence, guidelines, and patient-specific needs

  • Integrate strategies that promote sustained weight loss and reduce risk of related comorbidities to improve outcomes and quality of life
