Follow-up – Case Continued
The patient continues to titrate dulaglutide per instructions to 4.5 mg weekly. At his 4-month follow-up, the patient has lost 20 lb (current weight 203 lb, 10% total body weight lost), and his BMI has decreased to 29.1 kg/m2. His fasting blood glucose average is 145 mg/dL, and his A1C has decreased to 7.3%. His lipids have significantly improved, and all other labs are within normal limits. He has been working on implementing additional dietary changes recommended by the diabetes educator and is exercising for 30 minutes 4-5 times weekly as his schedule allows.
