Follow-up – Case Continued
At his next 3-month follow-up, the patient has lost an additional 7 lb (current weight 196 lb, 12% total body weight lost), and his BMI has decreased further to 28.1 kg/m2. His fasting blood glucose average is 128 mg/dL, and his A1C has decreased to 6.6%. All other labs are within normal limits.
