Conclusion
At his next 3-month follow-up, the patient has lost an additional 5 lb (current weight 191 lb, 14% total body weight lost), and his BMI has decreased further to 27.4 kg/m2. His fasting blood glucose average is 125 mg/dL, and his A1C remains controlled at 6.5%. All other labs are within normal limits. He denies symptoms of hypoglycemia and states that he remains very pleased with his progress.
